Andreea Waters is also a published photographer, in 2016 she released her photography coffee table book titled Surf NYC - a visual story, and celebration of the unique spirit of New York's surf culture and ocean community. Her work is part of a permanent collection at the Museum of the City of New York, showed in various fine art galleries and featured in WIRED, the Guardian, Gothamist, Slate, national and international publications and online media. Andreea is an advocate for protecting oceans and a community activist. In 2012, after Hurricane Sandy destroyed Rockaway Beach, New York, she worked with Waves for Water and Parsons The New School of Design to create awareness, educate the public and raise funds for relief efforts via social media platforms and a live fashion show. Andreea enjoys traveling, music, art, fashion, design, surfing, tennis and boxing.
